Microphone not working during a call?
Bugs, N95 April 23rd, 2007Saw this and thought it might be useful.
I’ve seen a few people post on forums to say their microphone appears to be dead when making a call.
A temporary fix until new firmware is released is to turn on the loudspeaker and then switch back
to microphone mode.
This seems to give the phone the kick it needs to get the mic functional.
Currently the problem seems to be isolated to the 10.0.0.18 firmware.
Let me know if this works or doesn’t work for you, especially those of you suffering mic problems.

I’ve had this a number of times.. sounding like robocop!
Have you come across this prob?
Thanks for the site!

I gave my phone for repair with the local O2 shop where I bought it from. They have upgraded the firmware to 11.x.x. Now it seems to work fine.

My N95 has mic problem since it was only 2 months use (Dec 2007). No sound, but then fix by itself although the sound still not loud enough. I tried to claim warranty but Nokia dealer said no problem. After I insisted then they say it was wet, but this phone has never fallen into water. On Sept 2009 the phone was totally dead, no problem with battery. I went back to Nokia dealer, phone can turn on, but the mic still problem, and right now no sound at all. Dealer said it has PCB track problem and unrepairable, not mic problem. I don’t understand, because usually PCB is very strong, it wont damage unless hammered or solder heat to hot. I like N95, all functions are good to help my job, but why the PCB is very weak???
